Gal 3:3
Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Acts 6:4
But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
Luke 10:42
But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
Matt 11:28-30
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me: for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
Heb 4:9-11
There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God,
For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God [did] from his.
Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, least any man fall after the same example of unbelief.
~ It is distressing how many worn-out saints I’ve met over the years. Organizing, collecting, distributing. Active involvement has turned into obsession. The sense of willing obedience manipulated into a fearful obligation to the point of personal neglect and breakdown of family communication.
If you feel the ministry will fall apart without you, perhaps you’re worshiping the wrong Jesus. Jesus wants our fellowship.
When Martha complained that her sister, Mary, was not doing her part, Jesus praised Mary. Don’t neglect that good part, the seat reserved for you at His feet.
